Bipolar teens around the globe are cheering for Hawthorne Heights' unsettling mix of doomed romance and aggression.
The group's mixture of pop hooks, sonic power and screams ought to please fans of both Thursday and Good Charlotte.
They formed in 2001, as A Day In The Life. Following a few lineup changes, the name was switched for Hawthorne Heights.
"The Silence In Black and White," which was released on Victory, broke that label's record for best-selling debut CD.
The band is from Dayton, Ohio, which has everything to do with the name of their first big single, "Ohio is for Lovers."
