Post-grunge act with an uncanny knack for sounding like other bands, albeit in a memorable way. See: "The Freshmen." Despite having a name that is very similar to the British band the Verve, they sound nothing like each other. "The Freshman" is about a guy whose girlfriend committed suicide. Vocalist Brian later admitted it was his own tragic story. Lead singer Brian Vander Ark made his acting debut in the independent film "Roadkill." The little kid on the back of the "Villains" CD is none other than keyboardist Doug Corella, at age three.
